Deutsche Bank Place
The iconic Deutsche Bank Place at 126 Phillip Street, Sydney, has made its mark on the Sydney CBD skyline after installing a new architectural lighting feature.
Investa has created a glorious jewel for 126 Phillip Street's crown. Foster + Partners architects designed the Deutsche Bank Building, with its city-defining architectural rooftop feature, more infamously known as the goal posts. The lighting design intends to enhance its nighttime appearance with a more subtle appearance that blends with its original structural presence.
The building crown appears elongated during the day. Lightwaves has approached its nighttime appearance by highlighting the horizontal features to design a more subtle nighttime presence.
The lighting design consists of colour-changing RGBW LED luminaires mounted to the structure following the horizontal beams of the façade. The luminaires face outwards, creating a diffused line of light. The lower three wrap around the structure, while the top two are linear and mounted on the northern and southern sides.
This treatment will give a 360-degree viewing angle of this icon structure, ensuring that Deutsche Bank Place's nighttime presence will be as iconic as its daytime presence.
Using a DMX intelligent digital lighting control system allows for seamless transitions between the different everyday scenes and the capability to power the special event scenes programmed throughout the year.
